Gaynor Roger

Gaynor articled at Shibley Righton LLP and maintains a general litigation practice, currently with a primary focus in Municipal Liability, but which also includes Civil Litigation, Commercial Litigation, Professional Liability and Education and Public Law. Gaynor also has experience representing clients in a broad array of other areas practice such as Construction Law, Condominium Law, Estate Litigation, Human Rights and Taxation Litigation.

After earning her B.A. at the University of Toronto, she completed the Canadian & American Dual JD Program offered by the Faculties of Law of the University of Windsor and University of Detroit Mercy and participated in the London Law Program.

Gaynor has gained valuable advocacy experience arguing complex motions and conducting trials in a variety of courts and administrative tribunals. She has appeared as counsel or co-counsel in the Superior Court of Justice, Divisional Court, Court of Appeal and Tax Court of Canada, as well as before the Human Rights Tribunal (Ontario), Ontario Labour Relations Board, Assessment Review Board, Ontario Municipal Board, Child and Family Services Review Board and other education tribunals. She has also represented her clients on appeals and judicial reviews.

An avid traveler, Gaynor has visited six continents, attended university in three countries, and lived overseas on multiple occasions. She has an extensive history of volunteering with any organizations and served on the Board of Directors of a non-profit daycare for over 15 years. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, Metropolitan Toronto Lawyers’ Association, and The Advocates’ Society.
