Victor J. Wong

Victor is an Associate lawyer with Shibley Righton’s business law group. He has a broad-based corporate/commercial practice in Toronto, having successfully closed on a number of mergers and acquisitions, private equity funding rounds, initial public offerings, and negotiated a wide variety of commercial contracts, including licensing, leasing and lending matters.

Victor practices with a business first, 'yes and' attitude, with close attention to detail that gets the deal done right the first time. From startups to established companies, he's guided management teams through all stages of growth.

Early on in his career, he built a strong background in administrative law, which sets him apart as a lawyer that can guide businesses in highly regulated industries, including healthcare, technology, manufacturing, and professional services on licensing and compliance.

For leisure, Victor's an avid runner, averaging ten road kilometers a day, and is currently chasing his Six Star Medal from the Abbot World Marathon Majors, and a huge proponent of physical fitness. You'll frequently find him training with his trusted miniature poodle.

Prior to joining Shibley Righton, Victor was part of a well-known full-service boutique law firm in Toronto.
